STAKE PRESIDENCY
“Healing Through Christ”
Dear Sisters and Brothers,
We are excited to announce the following changes to the Healing and Recovery Program (HRP) offered in the Murray YSA Stake.
We felt impressed to change the name of the class to “Healing Through Christ” (HTC). Christ rose from the dead with “healing in his wings” (2 Nephi 25:13), and the Lord has the power to effect a “mighty change…in our hearts” (Mosiah 5:2).
The HTC classes will no longer be offered at the Gathering Place on Thursdays, but will be held every Sunday afternoon from 3:00-4:00 in the Seminary building just east of the Stake Center at 7630 South 2700 East.
The first class will be held next Sunday May 11th. The curriculum will be a combination of the Church’s 12 step program and other Church published materials.
Initially, the classes will be offered for the brothers in the Stake, with options for sisters to be announced in the coming weeks. Brother Dan Gray and Mark Ashby will lead the discussions.
We invite all brethren to come and learn more about the healing power of Christs Atonement and how it can bring help, hope and healing for all trials in life.
We testify that He is the ultimate change agent, and through the grace and power of His Atonement, we can find strength to make changes that will help us feel the love of God more fully in our lives.
